American Express Prepaid Customers Receive Pre-Approved Amex Charge Cards
In recent years a growing segment of the American Express financial portfolio has been prepaid cards. Amex prepaid cards are available to anyone at any credit level. With prepaid cards, from any card issuer, the holder only needs to load money onto to their card and pay the fees associated with the prepaid card company. The truth is prepaid cards are not cheap. They do provide a valuable service to people with bad credit or no credit, the ability to make electronic purchases.
Unlike most prepaid card companies, American Express is primarily a credit card and charge card company. American Express has begun to review the activities of individual prepaid customers. The program is called “Make Your Move.” American Express reviews the account holders on their behavior, and whether they are acting responsibly. In some instances, they have offered real customers pre-approved charge card offers. American Express does not define the criteria they use to determine who receives these pre-approved charge card offers. American Express offers a broad range of popular debit cards. Do not acquire one with the belief that you will get a pre-approved charge card offer one day. Review the terms and conditions of the Amex debit prepaid card you are applying for first. If you are comfortable with the terms, apply for the card. If you maintain your account in good standing one day, you may receive a pre-approved offer.
American Express prepaid card offers will not report your activities to the credit bureaus. There will be no data shared with other credit card companies. If you need to start building credit today, you may want to apply for a credit card for bad credit. Like prepaid cards, there are fees associated with opening a bad credit account, but you will begin to build credit from day one.
